So, one of my favorite things about Young Living is their products are so multi-functional. Seriously you guys. With non-toxic products you have so many more possibilities on how to use things!
One product I kept hearing about when I got started with Young Living was the diaper rash cream. There is an entire baby line of products called Seedlings that are amaaaazing! They are all lavender based and smell so calming. Perfect to use on your little ones. You can browse the products here. I finally ordered this cream a couple months ago…not even to use on Maren! I wanted to try it for myself. Ok, so here are my top 3 favorite uses for the diaper rash cream!
- under eye cream. Everyone kept talking about how awesome this cream was for the under eye area. I was intrigued by this because my under eyes have become a problem area for me in my 30’s. I’ve tried SO many drug store products and nothing seems to be able to moisturize and smooth that area without it feeling nasty. Seriously. Mix with a little of your mineral foundation and this makes THE best cream concealer. Plus, it moisturizes and seals in the sensitive area under the eyes. It’s basically a perfect cream to use when you consider its formulated to use on babies sensitive skin!
- after sun cream. I just recently discovered this use and was SO impressed. I am not someone that tans easily but I am pretty much always outdoors. I try to be good about using sunscreen but I forget… a lot. My shoulders and chest are constantly getting too much sun. I know lavender is good for sun burns and since this cream is formulated with lavender I figured it would work like a charm. I was right! I dabbed some of this on my chest after I got too much sun and the next morning the redness was gone. Plus my skin was moisturized and soft.
- cuticle cream. If you are someone that likes to have a little bottle of lotion next to your bed…grab the diaper rash cream. I’m serious! It comes in a perfect little squeeze tube so it’s not messy. I like to use this on my hands at night. It doesn’t get too greasy and the lavender oil is a bonus that helps us rest better.
Warner actually got into my diaper rash cream the other day and squirted a bunch of it out all over himself. Even though I was bummed that it wasted a lot of my product…I was glad I didn’t have to worry about what chemicals he had just rubbed all over his arms! If you are a buying a tube of this to use for yourself..it will last a long time. A little bit goes a long way when you are only dabbing it under your eyes. Do you have another favorite way to use the cream? I’d love to hear about it!
